Kaghan Valley is a place that has so much to offer in terms of its location, food, gorgeous sightseeing, and incredible activities. This is because the glaciers block the roads leading to Kaghan Valley during winter, causing the roads to close.
These glaciers would melt from February to April. But in Winter main Kaghan Road is Closed, So Of course, we have Shogran, A Hill Station here at at a height of 2,362 metres (7,749 ft) above sea level, Shogran is located at a distance of 34 kilometres (21 mi) away from Balakot and 250 kilometres from Islamabad. Shogran is accessible 365 days and is a place that goes through a complete four season change all year round. All the dominant seasons of Shogran have their own charm each year but summer is probably the best time to visit Shogran and Kaghan Valley.
Due to the high elevation in this destination, you are exposed to cool and relaxing weather, even during a hot summer afternoon, while also not missing out on what the subtle chill has to offer.
Shogran, during winter, is covered in thick rows of ice which is probably a beautiful sight to behold in itself. On the other hand, visiting a hill station during monsoon might not be completely a good idea, although the smell of rain on soil is quite amazing in this hill station. During monsoon, hilly areas are more prone to landslides, as there is few incidents are reported last year, At least four people were killed when a landslide near Jhalkand and Burwai in the Naran Kaghan Valley buried tourist vans, therefore we are not suggesting to visit in monsoon.
